The first knives I ever made, 14 years ago now, were made from old files. When I had the idea to do a show called “back to center”, I knew I wanted to include some file knives.

The blades are sanded smooth with some file marks and hammer marks showing through to tell the story of how they were made.

These knives are designed for the kitchen, from a Chef knife down to a paring knife. Inspired both by the kitchen knives I have been making over the years, and new inspiration form a Japanese kitchen knife I got and have been learning a lot from.
